New Additions

So, I’ve been neglecting the blog lately. Life threw a few curve balls my way recently but I’m back and excited to share some of the new things I have bought for the house. 

Obsessed with my TEJN Faux Sheepskin rug from IKEA. Looks fabulous on my day bed and feels lovely. I like to pat it occasionally. (A sign that I need a pet perhaps?)

My sideboard was looking a little drab so I spent a day redecorating it. I hit up Society6 and Etsy, and after hours of trawling through the options I decided these…

I also put my stash of Real Living mags to good use and refilled my glass bell jars with wooden blocks and white feathers.

I’ve been married a year and still haven’t put any wedding photos up around the house. This is one of my favourite photos together with a poster I found on Society 6 called “Every day is a blessing” by Matthew Taylor Wilson. LOVE

We also ordered a new couch and cannot wait for it to arrive! The next thing on the list will be Ikat cushions.

The start of my interiors obsession

       

If I had to pinpoint the start of my obsession with interiors, it would take me back more than 20 years. As a young child I was lucky enough to go live in another country for a while. We spent five years in Sao Paulo, Brazil where my mum used to take me to a furniture and decor store called Tok&Stok.

I used to love wandering through the store looking at all the fancy homewares. I guess not much has changed! Can you pinpoint when your love of interiors started?
